Geostatistical Analysis And Urban Observatories
Course Introduction
This training aims at teaching trainees how to explore data structure and import data in both languages (English and Arabic) in the form of indicators depending on the best statistical representation. It will facilitate choosing indicators, and mapping them on desired geographic levels and geographic units. In addition, it will inform the trainees on how to add geographic levels and layers and how to customize thematic mapping colors and representation. Also, as how to customize the home page and visualize informative reports. Finally, a drill will be given to along the course days for each module with a given sample data to use.

PREREQUISITES
A good understanding of statistics and a basic knowledge of spatial data (i.e., shapefiles) and Microsoft Excel.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Adding Datasets, nomenclatures
Importing Indicators in both languages with two methods
Adding Map views and geographic levels and layers
Creating and visualizing Reports from imported data

Choosing Multiple indicators and comparing view in two maps, a map and a table or a summary chart
Viewing map SETTINGS and the option of viewing the map in different colo palettes and statistical display options
Exploring the ACTIONS capabilities from adding layers, exporting data to labeling
Adding External Data if needed, which could be from a data source (i.e. indicators excel files)
